Websites That Get Service Businesses More Booked Jobs
Most contractor websites look fine and do nothing. We build WordPress sites for plumbers, HVAC companies, cleaners and detailers that load fast on a phone, show up in local search, and make it easy to call you.
No website yet, or an old one that never brought you anything? Tell us about your business and we will send back a plan and a fixed price. No obligation, and we reply within two business days.
- Five pages, written for your trade
- Click to call on every screen
- Google Business Profile connected
- Contact form tested before launch
Then Essential Care at $99 a month. Offer ends 16 September 2026.
A Starter site is booking jobs inside a month, not next quarter.
Site, domain and hosting sit in your name from day one.
Designed for the screen your customers actually search on.
The monthly plan can be stopped at the end of any month.
Your website is not the problem. What it does not do is.
You paid for a website and it exists, but the phone is not ringing any more than it was before. Here is what we usually find when we open one up.
It looks fine on a laptop and breaks on a phone
The customer calling you at seven in the morning with water across the kitchen floor is holding a phone, not sitting at a desk. If the text is tiny, the buttons overlap and the menu will not open, they are gone in seconds.
Nobody can find the phone number in under three seconds
Your number sits in the footer, or inside a picture, or as text somebody has to copy out by hand. A homeowner with a burst pipe is not going to hunt for it. They will simply call the next name on the list instead.
It takes eight seconds to load on mobile data
Huge photographs straight off a camera, a cheap overloaded server and a stack of plugins nobody uses. On a phone in a driveway with two bars of signal, most people abandon the page before the first picture appears.
It does not appear when someone searches your trade plus your town
If you do not come up for drain cleaning and your city, you are invisible at the exact moment somebody needs you. Usually the pages are written about the business instead of the service and the area it covers.
The contact form has been broken for months and nobody knew
Forms fail quietly. A plugin updates or an email setting changes, the messages stop arriving, and nothing on the page looks wrong. The people who wrote to you assume you ignored them.
It was built five years ago and nobody has touched it since
Old prices, a service you stopped offering, a team photograph with two people who left. The website quietly announces that you stopped paying attention, and homeowners interpret that as how you probably run the actual jobs.
Built for the trades that live on the phone
If your customers search, call and book from a phone, this is built for you. These are the trades we write, design and structure these websites around.

How this compares to your other two options
You have three realistic choices. It is worth seeing them side by side before you spend anything.

- Long waiting lists
- Meetings and account managers
- The same WordPress underneath

How it works
Four stages, and you always know exactly what is happening and what you get at the end of each one.
Free consultation
Tell us what you do, where you work and what you want the website to bring in. We come back with the right package and a realistic date. Plain English, no sales script.
Plan and content
We agree the pages, the services and the towns you cover. You send photographs and your licence details, and we handle all of the writing.
Build and review
We build the website and send you a private link. You go through it and tell us what to change, before anything is public.
Launch and maintain
We point the domain, install the certificate, test every form and phone link, and put the site live. Your care plan begins the same day.
Why service businesses work with us
We are not a design studio chasing awards. We build websites for businesses where the entire point is the phone ringing and the calendar filling up. Most owners we speak to have already paid somebody once, and got very little back.
Built for phones first
Your customers are standing in a driveway or a kitchen holding a phone. We build for that screen first, then make it look right on a laptop.
You own everything
The website, the domain and the hosting account are all in your name. If you leave, you take the lot and nothing stops working.
We answer the phone
You get a person who already knows your website, not a ticket number. Support runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm Eastern.
No jargon, ever
We explain what we are doing in ordinary words. You should never need to log into WordPress unless you actually want to.
One fixed price
You know the setup cost and the monthly cost before we start. No hourly billing and no invoice you did not expect.
It gets looked after
The website is not handed over and forgotten. Updates, backups, security and small changes carry on every month after launch.
What we do not do
Plenty of people in this trade have been sold more than they received. Here is where we stop, in writing, before you pay anybody anything.
Custom web applications
Customer portals, dashboards, membership systems and software built from scratch are outside what we do. We will tell you that immediately rather than discovering it halfway through.
Full ecommerce stores
We can list a handful of products with a simple checkout. A catalogue of hundreds of items with stock levels, shipping rules and variations belongs with a specialist.
Logos and brand identity
We work with the logo and colours you already have. If you need a brand designed from nothing, hire a designer for that piece first and then come to us.
Paid advertising
We do not manage Google Ads or Facebook Ads. Your website is built to receive campaign traffic properly, but somebody else should be running the campaign.
Writing with nothing to go on
We write your pages, but we need the raw material: your services, your price ranges, your areas and a few facts about the work. Twenty minutes on the phone and a folder of photographs is usually enough.
Questions service business owners ask us
How much does a website for a service business cost?
Setup is $899, $1,499 or $2,399 depending on how many pages you need. Those are limited time prices, reduced from $1,499, $2,499 and $3,999 until 16 September 2026. On top of the setup there is a monthly care plan between $99 and $249 covering hosting support, updates, backups, security and small changes. Everything is quoted as a fixed price before we begin. The number you agree is the number you pay.
How long does it take to build?
Three weeks for a Starter Site, four weeks for a Growth Site and six weeks for a Lead Engine, counted from the day we have your content and photographs in hand. The most common reason a build runs late is waiting on pictures and details from the owner, so we send a short checklist at the start telling you exactly what to gather.
Do I have to pay monthly forever?
No, and the care plan carries no contract at all. You can stop it at the end of any month and the website remains completely yours. What the monthly buys is somebody keeping the site updated, backed up, secure and quick, which is the part most owners have no interest in doing themselves.
What happens if I want to stop the monthly plan?
You tell us and billing stops at the end of that month. Your website, domain and hosting account remain yours and we hand over every login. Nothing gets switched off and nothing is held back. What stops is the work behind it: the updates, backups, security monitoring and the small changes. That becomes your job or your next provider’s.
Who owns the website, the domain and the hosting?
You do, and that covers all three. We set up hosting and the domain in your name with your billing details, and you hold the logins from the first day. We do not build on a platform you can only rent from us. If you ever move to another company, the entire website moves with you and keeps working.
Do I need to write all the content myself?
No, we write the pages ourselves. What we need from you is the raw material: what you do, where you work, roughly what you charge, your licence and insurance details, and photographs of your work and your team. Most owners cover that in one twenty minute call, plus a folder of pictures from their phone.
Will my site show up on Google?
It is built so that it can. Every package includes on page SEO, a connected Google Business Profile and pages written around your trade and your towns. What nobody can honestly promise is a particular position by a particular date. Local rankings depend on your reviews, how long your business has been listed and who else competes nearby. Anyone guaranteeing you the top spot is guessing.
Can you work with my existing site instead of starting over?
Sometimes, and the answer depends entirely on what you already have. If your website runs on WordPress, is reasonably current and the underlying structure is sound, repairing and rebuilding the important pages can cost considerably less than a fresh build. If it sits on an abandoned theme or a platform you cannot export from, starting again is cheaper than fighting it. The consultation tells you which situation you are in.
What if I do not like the design?
That is exactly what the revision rounds are for, and they all happen before anything goes public. You see the design early on a private link and tell us what to change. Starter includes two rounds, Growth three and Lead Engine four. If we are still not close after your rounds, we will say so honestly rather than keep taking your money.
Are you based in the US?
No. Dotcom Craft is a remote team based in India and we work with clients across the United States. We keep US business hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm Eastern. You can reach us during your own working day. Everything is quoted and billed in US dollars. We put this in writing because you deserve to know who you are hiring before you pay anybody.
Already have a website that works and only want it looked after? Our WordPress website management plans cover updates, backups, security, speed and content without a rebuild. See the care plans
